About this tour

At an elevation of 16207 ft, Bali pass connects Har Ki Dun valley with Yamunotri. An exploration on its own, the trek starts from Sankri village and ends at Jankichatti; the trail meandering along the confluence of Tons and Ruinsara rivers, through the beautiful serene Ruinsara valley and the lush green meadows of Dev Thach in the middle of the Ruinsara forest. Along the trail you get a taste of the unique village culture and folklore as you cross the ancient villages of Gangad and Osla. Each of the campsites along the trek route is well chosen and you would find each one beautiful than the other. Something to look for is the Ruinsara tal nestled amidst the mountain ranges of Swargarohini and surrounded by lush meadows.

The mesmerising 360-degree panoramic view of the Bandarpoonch, Kalanag and Swargarohini peaks from atop the pass makes this trek memorable. This trek is difficult and suitable for experienced trekkers. The challenging terrain, steep ascent and descent, the pass crossing and the narrow trails requires one to have a very good physical and mental endurance to successfully complete the trek. As one of the most unexplored trails, Bali pass is for passionate trekkers who look to explore the offbeat treks.
